About the Role

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and Implement Detection Methods: Lead the development and implementation of detection methodologies to monitor, identify, and respond to malicious cyber activities.
  • Provide Expert Advice: Offer expert advice on monitoring solutions, particularly for ICT platforms, and collaborate with key third-party suppliers.
  • Oversee Cyber Threat Detection Roles: Oversee Cyber Threat Detection roles, prioritizing tasks based on risk, urgency, and impact.
  • Develop Integration Solutions: Develop integration solutions for systems and monitoring tools, and document processes to share knowledge with the wider team.
Requirements
  • Experience: Demonstrate experience managing platforms like IBM QRadar, Elastic, and Dynatrace, with a comprehensive understanding of network architecture concepts, including topology, protocols, and key security principles.
  • SIEM Administration: Proven ability to develop SIEM use cases and rules, ensuring effective detection and response strategies for cyber threats.
  • Network Security Monitoring: Extensive experience in SIEM administration and network security monitoring, supporting proactive and responsive cyber defense.
  • Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills, with a demonstrated ability to engage stakeholders effectively. Familiarity with the MITRE ATT&CK Framework is highly regarded.
What We Offer

A competitive salary range of $120,000 - $150,000 per annum, depending on experience, plus benefits and opportunities for professional growth and development.

The successful candidate will be offered a 12-month contract with a 24-month extension option, working with a highly skilled team in a leading Federal Government Agency.
