About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Cyber Threat Detection Analyst to lead our Cyber Security team in Canberra. This 12-month contract, with two possible extensions, offers a unique opportunity for an experienced professional to take on a leadership role.

As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for developing and implementing detection methods to identify, monitor, and respond to malicious cyber events targeting our client's networks in the cloud environment.

The successful candidate will have expertise in managing SIEM platforms such as Microsoft Sentinel & Defender, as well as knowledge of network architecture concepts. Experience in developing SIEM use cases and rules is also essential.

You will provide technical guidance, leadership, and support to Cyber Security Operations staff while overseeing Cyber Threat Detection roles. Your proficiency in SIEM administration and understanding of network security monitoring requirements will be invaluable to our team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement detection methods to identify, monitor, and respond to malicious cyber events.
  • Provide technical guidance, leadership, and support to Cyber Security Operations staff.
  • Oversee Cyber Threat Detection roles and ensure effective threat detection and response.

Selection Criteria:

  • Proficiency in managing SIEM platforms Microsoft Sentinel & Defender.
  • Knowledge of network architecture concepts.
  • Experience in developing SIEM use cases and/or rules.
  • Experience in SIEM administration.
  • Understanding of the requirements of network security monitoring.
Compensation and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary range of AUD $120,000 - $150,000 per annum, depending on experience. Our comprehensive benefits package includes:
