Climate Change Leadership Position

We are seeking a visionary leader to spearhead our climate action strategy.

The successful candidate will possess a strong understanding of climate science and policy, as well as excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

This is an exciting opportunity for a talented individual to make a meaningful impact in the field of climate change.

About the Role:

The Director, Climate Action will be responsible for leading our climate change efforts, developing and implementing strategies to mitigate the effects of climate change, and collaborating with stakeholders to achieve our goals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement effective climate change mitigation strategies.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to achieve our climate change goals.
  • Communicate complex climate change concepts to diverse audiences.
  • Lead a team of subject matter experts in the development and implementation of climate change initiatives.
  • Represent the organization at international events and engagements.

Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A PhD in climate science, atmospheric science, or environmental science.
  • At least 15 years of experience in climate science, industrial decarbonization, environmental policy, or philanthropy.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills.
  • Strong expertise in climate mitigation strategies and evidence-based advocacy.
  • Preferable experience in carbon dioxide removal solutions.
  • Track record of partnering across disciplines and sectors.
