Climate Change Mitigation and Adaptation Expert


Minderoo Foundation is tackling persistent issues with the potential to drive massive change. We incubate innovative ideas, advocate for systems change, and accelerate impact through bold, collaborative, and selfless action.


The Director Climate Action will be a key member of our Natural Ecosystems Leadership Team, serving as the public face and driving strategy for climate-related work.


This leadership role requires a highly credible and dynamic expert in climate science and innovation who can communicate complex scientific concepts to diverse audiences, influence policy discussions, and inspire action on climate solutions.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Scientific Representative: Serve as primary representative for international events and engagements, supporting speeches and appearances.
  • Communicate complex climate science in clear, compelling, and culturally appropriate ways to the Board, policymakers, global media, and the public.
  • Cultivate relationships with global stakeholders, including international organisations, government leaders, and NGOs, to achieve strategic objectives.
  • Develop and evolve the climate strategy, ensuring objectives are met.
  • Co-chair the Lethal Humidity Global Council, raising awareness of the economic, health, and humanitarian impacts of lethal humidity caused by worsening climate change.
  • Lead the climate team with a values-based and inclusive approach to achieve our mission and support the wider Natural Ecosystems Leadership Team.
