Housing Support Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate professional to provide high-quality support to individuals at risk of or experiencing homelessness.
About the OpportunityThis is a challenging and rewarding role that requires a strong understanding of trauma-informed and strengths-based case management principles. As a Housing Support Specialist, you will empower clients to overcome barriers to securing and maintaining safe, stable, and sustainable housing.
- Plan and provide safe, integrated, and holistic homelessness support that locates the individual at the centre of their support and service networks.
- Foster active client engagement in the identification, development, and implementation of individualised housing goals through personalised case management plans.
- Apply best practice and client-centred knowledge and skills to engage, support, and empower individuals to identify and overcome their homelessness barriers and meet their housing needs.
- Case manage clients who are experiencing or at risk of experiencing homelessness.
- Assist with applications for social and community housing; private rental applications; and tenancy sustainment strategies and support.
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- A completed undergraduate degree in Human Services, Social Sciences, Health Sciences (or equivalent).
- Experience working in housing and homelessness services, with a strong understanding of relevant policies, support frameworks, and community resources.
- A demonstrated ability to work with vulnerable populations and build strong relationships with clients and stakeholders.
