Design Lead - Unified Experience

This role involves leading the design of our web and mobile applications. You will be responsible for defining and designing the interaction patterns and structural principles that guide the development of a unified user experience across all our products.

  • Develop and design a comprehensive interaction design framework across desktop web, mobile web, and native mobile.
  • Work with product managers, customers, and engineers to design core product experiences like user access management, settings, and other functionality shared by products across our suite.
  • Collaborate closely with independent teams of product managers, engineers, and designers to integrate your design principles and patterns into their product-specific designs.
  • Advocate for user needs, leveraging user research and analytics from across the company to inform and refine interaction patterns and design decisions.

You will work closely with the design system team to ensure alignment between high-level interaction patterns and lower-level component libraries. Your role will also involve creating and maintaining comprehensive documentation of design principles, guidelines, and best practices.

Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you should have:

  • 10+ years of experience in UX and interaction design with a strong portfolio showcasing your work in complex web applications and design system design.
  • Proven experience leading design initiatives and working cross-functionally with product managers, engineers, and designers in a fast-paced environment.
  • Deep understanding of design systems and how they integrate with broader application architecture.
  • Ability to conceptualise and execute a unified interaction design strategy that aligns with business goals and user needs.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to present complex design concepts clearly and persuasively.
