About the Role
The Early Childhood Worker delivers high-quality, culturally appropriate early childhood education, health, and development programs to children using their first language based on the Abecedarian Approach Australia (3a). The position focuses on implementing a culturally rich environment that includes the use of Aboriginal languages, games, activities, and songs.
The program is based on the Early Years Learning Framework and the Abecedarian Approach Australia (3a). As an Early Childhood Worker, you will contribute to a learning environment that strengthens educator practice and continuous improvement to optimize children's learning outcomes.
Responsibilities
- Contribute to child records that document personal and social growth, development, cultural context, learning, and interests of the child.
- Take part in the preparation and provision of children's food as required.
Requirements
- Identify as an Aboriginal person, recognized and accepted as an Aboriginal person by the Aboriginal Community.
- Passion for early childhood education.
- Current First Aid Certificate or ability to obtain one.
- Current NT Working with Children's Card.
- NT Drivers' license or ability to obtain one.
- Full immunization against COVID-19.
Desirable
- Willingness to commence study of a minimum Cert III Qualification in Child Services or relevant field as recognized by the ACECQA.
