Cabinet Maker Position

We are seeking a highly skilled Cabinet Maker to join our team. As a key member of our production crew, you will be responsible for constructing and installing high-quality cabinets and furniture components.

This is an excellent opportunity to work with a variety of materials such as timber, veneers, particle board, MDF, and other engineered wood products. You will have the chance to interpret technical drawings and operate woodworking machinery to produce custom cabinetry and detailed joinery solutions for residential and commercial projects.

About the Role:
  • Construct and install cabinets and furniture components with attention to detail and quality craftsmanship.
  • Interpret technical drawings and operate woodworking machines and tools, including CNC machinery.
  • Maintain a safe working environment and ensure quality control of finished products.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Read and interpret drawings and work orders to determine job requirements.
  • Select and work with various materials to create high-quality cabinetry and furniture components.
  • Set up and operate woodworking machines and tools, including CNC machinery, to manufacture custom cabinetry and detailed joinery solutions.
  • Assemble parts to form sections of cabinetry and furniture, ensuring accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Install finished cabinetry on residential and commercial sites, ensuring timely completion and quality standards.
  • Apply finishes such as sealants, lacquers or other coatings as required, maintaining a high standard of workmanship.
  • Fitting hinges, runners, handles, and other hardware components to complete the cabinetry and furniture.
  • Maintain a safe and clean working environment, adhering to quality control standards and ensuring compliance with safety regulations.
  • Collaborate with other trades and project managers as needed, fostering effective communication and teamwork.
Requirements:
  • A minimum of 2 years of recent experience in cabinetry or joinery work, preferably with exposure to woodworking machinery and tools.
  • Strong technical skills with experience operating woodworking tools and machinery, including CNC equipment.
  • The ability to work independently and as part of a team, with strong time management skills and attention to detail.
  • Fluency in English is essential for effective communication and collaboration.
