Leading Teaching and Learning Specialist

The Teaching and Learning Expert plays a vital role in promoting high-quality teaching and learning within the school community.
This position involves a range of responsibilities related to expertise, including designing and delivering professional development programs for teachers, observing and providing feedback on teaching practice, and facilitating collaborative relationships with colleagues to improve student learning outcomes.
The Teaching and Learning Expert is expected to have deep knowledge and understanding of evidence-based instructional strategies, assessment techniques, and data analysis to inform teaching practices.
This role models excellence in teaching and learning through demonstration lessons, mentoring, and coaching teachers to enhance their skill, knowledge, and effectiveness.
The Teaching and Learning Expert role aims to build a culture of continuous improvement in teaching and learning within the school.
Key Responsibilities- Designing and delivering professional development programs for teachers
- Observing and providing feedback on teaching practice
- Facilitating collaborative relationships with colleagues to improve student learning outcomes
- Modeling exemplary classroom practice and providing expert advice on instructional strategies
- Providing evidence-based feedback to teaching staff to inform their effectiveness and development
- Teachers currently registered or eligible for registration with the relevant teaching authority
- Qualified to teach and/or have demonstrated experience in the curriculum area(s) specified for the position
