About North East Link

The Central Package of the North East Link Project has been selected for delivery - Victoria's biggest road project. The project will be delivered as a Public Private Partnership and provides three-lane twin tunnels that will close the missing link in Melbourne's freeway network from the M80 Ring Road to an upgraded Eastern Freeway, reducing journey times and diverting heavy vehicles away from local roads. Up to 135,000 vehicles will use North East Link every day, reducing congestion in the north-east while maintaining local roads.

This is a full-time site-based role with requirements to work day and night shifts. You will be assisting in compiling construction reports, managing construction review flows, controlling the review comment close-out process, and performing other general duties.

  • Manage maintenance, modifications, and demobilization of smoke duct gantries totaling 14 units.
  • Generate scheduled change-out regimes for high-risk components on scabbling and drill gantries.
  • Report on scheduled and breakdown maintenance.
  • Provide engineering support for traversing Lower Plenty box by all 14 gantries.
  • Manage verification of conformance for works under control (quality, safety, environment).
  • Manage temporary works design and ensure all relevant approvals are obtained.
  • Support a positive work environment and promote good employee relations.
  • Work with maintenance engineers, shift supervisors, and foremen to improve maintenance procedures and plant equipment.
  • Demonstrate people management skills by managing work and performance of teams and subcontractors to achieve project outcomes.
  • Provide onsite engineering services and technical support to ensure short-term planning and programming of works is completed in conjunction with site supervision staff.
