Psychiatric Nurse Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Psychiatric Enrolled Nurse to join our Continuing Care Team at St Vincent's Hospital Melbourne.
As a Psychiatric Enrolled Nurse, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care to consumers with a lived experience of mental illness. You will work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to deliver tailored clinical and therapeutic interventions, promoting recovery and well-being.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide medication services to consumers, including metabolic monitoring and physical interventions as needed.
- Monitor physical and mental health status and provide delegated interventions to a defined caseload during a Continuing Care Team case manager's period of leave.
- Actively uphold a culture of hope by using optimistic language, supporting people, and celebrating consumers' recovery efforts.
Requirements:
- A minimum of five years post-registration experience as an Enrolled Nurse in a psychiatric setting.
- Commitment to work collaboratively and effectively as part of the multidisciplinary team.
- Demonstrated knowledge, experience, and ability in psychiatric enrolled nursing in a diverse range of settings.
- Current National Criminal History Check or willingness to obtain.

The Continuing Care Team provides specialized treatment and ongoing support throughout the week during business hours. Employing the Strengths Model of Recovery-Oriented Practice, the multidisciplinary team delivers tailored clinical and therapeutic interventions to meet the specific needs of consumers with a lived experience of mental illness.
