We are seeking a highly skilled Mechanic to join our mining operation. This is a full-time, permanent position working a 38-hour week compressed into a 9-day fortnight, with every second Friday off.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct routine and complex maintenance and testing procedures on plant equipment, including heavy-duty machinery and diesel-powered fixed plant pumps and trailers.
  • Perform fault diagnosis, installation, maintenance, and repair tasks across site equipment and infrastructure.
  • Attend to breakdowns and minor works on the small light vehicle (LV) fleet.
  • Carry out general inspections and provide support for plant maintenance as required.
Requirements:
  • Trade Qualification as a Heavy Diesel Mechanic (Cert III in Heavy Commercial Vehicle Mechanical Technology or equivalent).
  • At least 3 years' experience as a heavy diesel mechanic, maintaining fixed and mobile plant in the Mining sector.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and precision.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Demonstrated strong commitment to safety.
