Job Opportunity

We are seeking a seasoned Web Engineer to join our dynamic team. As a key member, you will drive best practices, bring innovative ideas to the table, and lead technical conversations.

The ideal candidate will oversee large project development, foster rigorous engineering processes, write specifications, understand risks, and work to minimize complexity. They will be capable of taking on technical lead responsibilities, following industry trends, and representing their team as subject matter experts with cross-team credibility.

Responsibilities:

  • Identify areas for improvement and drive initiatives to enhance team performance
  • Design and implement well-tested and documented software
  • Debug and resolve issues encountered by users
  • Lead the engineering process through code and architectural reviews
  • Contribute to technical documentation to elevate its quality
  • Seek improvements to engineering and operations practices
  • Deploy and operate services developed by the team
  • Support product success through technical advocacy

Requirements:

  • Cultivate technical excellence by designing architectural approaches that support business objectives
  • Value soft skills and demonstrate passion, enterprising spirit, thoughtfulness, and self-motivation
  • Hold an exceptional academic track record from high school and university
  • Possess an undergraduate degree in Computer Science or STEM, or have a compelling narrative about your alternative path
  • Exhibit drive and a track record of exceeding expectations
  • Be highly organized, self-starting, and able to deliver results on schedule
  • Display competency in researching new technology or approaches and integrating changes sustainably
  • Provide comprehensive and insightful code review on items of any size within the project
  • Have an eye for accessibility and performance
  • Be proficient in written and spoken English
  • Have experience with Linux (Debian or Ubuntu preferred)
  • Exhibit excellent interpersonal skills, curiosity, flexibility, and accountability
  • Demonstrate excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Be result-oriented with a personal drive to meet commitments
  • Ability to travel twice a year for company events for up to two weeks each
