About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Actuary Analyst who will operate within defined parameters, leveraging established policies, practices, and procedures to support the agency's objectives. The APS4 Actuary Analyst will focus on data extraction, cleansing, and preparation, working with key tools and software to drive actuarial monitoring, data analysis, and operational insights.
Key Responsibilities
- Data Management: Extract, cleanse, and prepare data from multiple sources, including the data warehouse.
- Analytical Tools: Utilize Microsoft Office, SAS, and statistical modeling techniques for actuarial analyses, cost-benefit assessments, and reporting.
- Project Collaboration: Perform ad hoc modeling, report generation, and regular updates on performance monitoring.
- Effective Communication: Report work progress and outcomes, delivering clear and precise analysis in written and verbal formats.
Essential Criteria
- Experience: 0-2 years in actuarial, data analytics, or data science fields.
- Education: Relevant academic background in Actuarial Studies, Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, or equivalent.
- Team Collaboration: Ability to work independently or as part of a team on urgent and long-term projects with high energy and enthusiasm.
- Analytical Skills: Strong problem-solving abilities, attention to detail, and knowledge of statistical methods.
- Communication: Clear and effective written and verbal communication with sound judgment.
