Transforming Group Risk Management at TAL Services Limited

We are seeking a skilled Actuarial Quantitative Analyst to join our Group Risk team, reporting directly to the Head of Actuarial. This role will play a crucial part in delivering and communicating results and associated insights for TDA's Group Risk business, the largest in the Australian market.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Spearheading Transformation Activities: Drive productivity, efficiency, and operational risk enhancements in valuation processes.
  • Ensuring Quality and Governance: Oversee production valuation models, manage UAT, and guarantee quality assurance requirements.
  • Supporting Finance Deliverables: Contribute to long-term plans and support wider finance deliverables.
  • Enhancing Product and Pricing: Assist in new products, product enhancements, repricing, and retention initiatives.
  • Valuation Process Support: Execute valuation models for timely and accurate performance reporting across statutory and management reports.
  • Continual Improvement: Enhance Group Risk valuation reporting functions through process, system, data, model, and people improvements.
  • Insightful Analysis: Provide actionable insights into actual and forecast results, influencing management actions to optimize the business.

Requirements and Qualifications:

  • Tertiary qualifications in Actuarial studies, Mathematics, Finance, or related disciplines with actuarial exam progress.
  • Prior experience in life insurance and financial reporting/modelling.
  • Strong Prophet modelling skills, time management, prioritisation, investigation, resolution, attention to detail, initiative, Excel (VBA), communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Good understanding of databases and SQL.
