As a Principal Engineer, you will lead impactful projects in urban development and make your mark in a collaborative environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop budgets and prepare fee proposals for projects.
  • Oversee the UD design and drafting program to ensure timely delivery.
  • Lead civil design, including earthworks, drainage, car parks, roads, pavements, and utilities, to meet project requirements.
  • Coordinate design with architects, landscape architects, and engineers at project meetings to achieve optimal outcomes.
  • Manage technical reviews and internal QA processes to ensure quality assurance.
  • Undertake project management, bid support, and leadership duties to drive project success.
  • Set department goals and develop actionable implementation plans to enhance engineering application processes.
Qualifications and Skills:
  • Bachelor's degree in civil engineering or related field.
  • Chartered Engineer status with NER accreditation.
  • 15+ years' experience in civil design for buildings, urban development, land development, or brownfield projects.
  • Strong technical expertise in civil design with knowledge of relevant guidelines, Australian Standards, and Local Council Planning Schemes.
  • Understanding of brownfield projects, water environments, and water resource management.
  • Proficiency in civil design software such as AutoCAD, 12D, Drains, and Microsoft Project.
  • Experience in QA processes and design reviews.
