Job Title: Home Care Worker

  • Employment Type: Casual (with a view to go Permanent)
  • Hours: Tuesday and Thursday 09:00AM - 17:00PM - potential to pick up additional days in the community
  • Primary Location: Mercy Health Community Centre - Shepparton

About the Role:

You will support our clients to live independently at home by providing personal care, domestic assistance, assisted shopping and meal preparation. We offer ongoing support provided by a dedicated service team.

Your Responsibilities:

  1. Provide personal care, domestic assistance, assisted shopping and meal preparation for clients.
  2. Support clients to live independently at home.
  3. Work with several clients in providing social group support including activity planning.
  4. Nurture friendly, respectful relationships and contribute to a collaborative team environment.

Requirements:

  • A compassionate, flexible and positive approach to effective patient care and management.
  • A Certificate III or IV in Home and Community Care/Aged Care/Disability.
  • A First Aid Certificate (Level 2).
  • A valid drivers license and be comfortable driving a 12 seater bus.
