Electrical Design Drafter Role

We are seeking a skilled Electrical Design Drafter to join our team. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for producing precise electrical design drawings and documentation for high-voltage substations and assets.

You will support experienced design engineers and contribute to drafting standards and practices, ensuring outputs meet Australian Standards.

Your key responsibilities will include managing your own drafting workload, monitoring progress, and providing timely updates, identifying and resolving design issues to keep projects on track and within quality expectations.

To succeed in this role, you will bring strong proficiency in 2D and 3D CAD software, along with a solid understanding of high-voltage substation design and relevant industry standards.

Key Skills and Qualifications
  • Advanced Diploma in Electrical Engineering with proven experience in high-voltage (HV) design drafting.
  • Proficient in engineering design software and business systems, ideally Bentley ProjectWise and MicroStation.
  • Strong understanding of design quality assurance processes to ensure compliance with project and industry standards.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple drafting projects, meet deadlines, and report progress effectively.
  • Excellent communication, teamwork, and professionalism within a collaborative engineering environment.
