Job Title: Project and Maintenance Officer

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Project and Maintenance Officer to join our team. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our facilities.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Plan, coordinate and execute maintenance activities to ensure the safety and efficiency of our equipment, buildings and grounds.
  • Conduct regular inspections of equipment, buildings and grounds to identify potential issues and implement corrective actions.
  • Test and record pool water quality results and manage chemical levels to meet regulatory requirements.
  • Maintain accurate records of equipment and report any changes or issues.
  • Collaborate with Centre Coordinator to manage safety risks and develop effective health and safety protocols.
  • Train and supervise staff members on safe working practices and chemical handling procedures.
Requirements:
  • Proven experience in an aquatic facility setting, managing capital works, pool water quality and property maintenance.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders.
  • Ability to plan and manage projects, engage contractors and tradespeople as needed.
  • Familiarity with risk management principles and WHS regulations, preferably in a sport/recreation environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
  • Demonstrated understanding of relevant statutory and regulatory obligations relating to aquatic facility management.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Outlook, Word and Excel.
Desirable Qualifications:
  • Current Pool Lifeguard qualification/licence.
  • Certificate IV in Swimming Pool and Spa Service.
  • Construction project management qualifications.
