About This Role

We are seeking a skilled professional to join our team as a Wind Turbine Technician.

  • This is an opportunity to work on a variety of wind farms across Australia, performing routine maintenance, breakdown repairs and implementing upgrades on wind turbines.
Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  1. Performing planned preventative maintenance routines and performance checks;
  2. Repairing, refurbishing or replacing defective plant equipment and performing corrective maintenance activities;
  3. Operating and/or assisting with the operation of all assigned plants;
  4. Documenting all activities and inputting information into the Computerised Maintenance Management System (CMMS);
  5. Ensuring adherence to Quality Assurance requirements by performing technical procedures, inspections and test plans;
  6. Responding to after-hours callouts and providing support to other wind farm sites as required;
  7. Participating in training and formally passing on expertise as required;
  8. Traveling across sites and locations to support maintenance across different platforms.
Required Skills and Qualifications

To be considered for this role, you must possess:

  • An accredited Electrical or Mechanical Trade Qualification;
  • Global Wind Organisation certification (GWO);
  • A current Driver's License;
  • Extensive work experience in the heavy industry sector;
  • Fundamental understanding of asset management principles;
  • Willingness to travel, often in remote locations.
