Job Title: Financial Manager for Project Operations

The successful candidate will play a vital role in the project operations team, providing expert financial management and oversight of branch budgets. The ideal candidate will possess strong interpersonal skills and be able to develop genuine, strong networks and relationships that result in a partnered approach to budget management and oversight.

The key responsibilities of this position include:

  • Collaborating with project staff to review budget information and maintain joint oversight of branch budgets.
  • Contributing to the development, review, and oversight of finance information in project documentation including briefings, agreements, workplans, and progress reporting.
  • Thoroughly analysing, reconciling, and reporting to ensure alignment of budgets.
  • Identifying financial risks and opportunities, discussing options, giving advice, and making recommendations.
  • Maintaining system information including journals, budget adjustments, carryovers, etc.

The successful applicant will have well-developed management accounting skills, preferably within a government context, and be solutions-focused, collaborative, and enthusiastic.
