Job Title: Securities Operations Specialist

We are seeking an experienced Securities Operations Specialist to join our team. The successful candidate will have excellent time management skills, a high level of attention to detail and accuracy, and experience working in banking and financial services.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Ensure accurate completion of Agency loan drawdowns, rollovers, repayments, bank guarantees and fee invoicing & collections within agreed timeframes in LIQ, following critical checklists according to the bank's unit procedure, user manuals, operational guidelines, and approved credit lines.
  • Establish new Agency clients in the core system (LIQ) in accordance with signed agreements.
  • Complete loan prework for Agency transactions accurately and within agreed timeframes, ensuring the Treasury cash sheet is up-to-date and completed.
  • Identify areas for process improvement and contribute to building effective processes that eliminate risk, foster collaboration, and maintain a positive work environment.
  • Report and escalate operational risk events.
  • Prepare reports and general ledger suspense and interest accrual accounts, investigate and clear outstanding items within a timely manner.
  • Perform monthly suspense account reconciliations for the Accounting Department.
  • Show flexibility to work extended hours on busy days, particularly during middle and month-end periods.
Requirements:
  • 1-2 years' experience in a related Operations role within banking and financial services.
  • Desirable but not essential: LIQ system experience.
  • Excellent time management and attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Degree/Diploma or equivalent qualification in a relevant discipline.
  • Collaborative mindset and ability to maintain a collaborative work environment.
Additional Requirements for Securitisation:
  • Assist/support in preparing daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual reports for receivables and other Securitisation products when required.
  • Process Agency transactions including initiating loan rollovers, repayments, and charging fees for various trusts.
  • Prepare remittance applications for Securitisation loan drawdown disbursements according to application.
