Job Opportunity

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Peer Community Support Worker to join our team in the Wollondilly and Wingecarribee area.

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of mental health challenges and recovery, as well as excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

The successful applicant will work collaboratively with customers to develop individualised support plans that incorporate their identified wellbeing needs, strengths, and goals.

This role involves providing psychosocial supports and working in partnership with people living with mental ill-health to live and recover within the community in the way that they want to.

Responsibilities:
  • Collaborating with customers to develop individualised support plans
  • Providing support to customers to improve their independence
  • Supporting and encouraging customers to participate in activities of their choice
  • Keeping customer records up to date using online systems and electronic databases
Requirements:
  • A minimum Cert IV in Peer Work or equivalent industry experience
  • Valid NSW Class C driver's licence
  • Current Police check, WWCC and NDIS WC
  • Great computer skills with proven ability to use Microsoft Office and customer relationship management systems
