Empathetic Support Specialist

Our Mental Health service in Wagga Wagga offers a purpose-built community setting where you can make a meaningful impact. As an Empathetic Support Specialist, you will provide high-level support and guidance to individuals engaging with our services.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Participate in programs aimed at increasing individual skills and knowledge
  • Provide respectful and dignified support to ensure the well-being of all individuals
  • Collaborate with clinical caregivers and stakeholders to achieve individual and team goals
  • Maintain service standards through effective communication and negotiation

The ideal candidate will possess strong initiative and resilience, well-developed communication skills, and the ability to negotiate effectively in situations of conflict.

SUCCESSFUL APPLICANTS MUST BE WILLING TO COMPLETE A CERTIFICATE 4 MENTAL HEALTH PEER WORK WITHIN FIRST 24 MONTHS OF TENURE AND HOLD A VALID WORKING WITH CHILDREN CHECK AND NATIONAL POLICE CLEARANCE.
