Aged Care Support Worker

About the Role
Annecto, a not-for-profit social purpose organisation, is seeking a Support Worker to deliver quality care services to clients in their homes and communities. As a Support Worker, you will be at the forefront of providing support to clients, enabling them to continue living at home and accessing their community.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist clients to access community facilities or appointments;
- Provide carers with general respite and at times overnight respite;
- Support clients with shopping and other daily activities;
- Provide quality personal care assistance such as showering and dressing;
- Provide assistance with housework and other areas of daily living, including preparation of meals;
Requirements
- A strong desire to provide quality service and the ability to make connections and build relationships with clients;
- Flexibility and ability to be adaptive;
- Highly professional and able to act in a compassionate, non-judgmental manner;
- Previous experience working and supporting older clients and/or clients with disabilities;
- NDIS Workers Screening Check;
- Current CPR with at least 3 months until expiry and First Aid with at least 12 months until expiry;
- Current driver's license and own transport vehicle with insurance;
- Minimum availability of 3 days per week;
- Must have been vaccinated against COVID-19 in line with the Victorian Government Public Health Directions.
Desirable Qualifications
- Certificate III in Individual Support, Aged Care, Disability Care or higher;
- Knowledge and experience in a similar industry or position;
- Fluency in a second language;
