Forensic Examiner Role Overview

The Examination Unit is accountable for conducting in-depth analyses of crime scene evidence.

Main Responsibilities include:

  • Providing technical assistance to ensure efficient workflow and prioritizing tasks in a team setting.
  • Delivering high-quality forensic services in a multidisciplinary environment, with an emphasis on providing statistics to senior management.
  • Maintaining equipment, instruments, laboratory facilities, and documenting performance in accordance with quality control standards.
  • Responding to customer inquiries and maintaining accurate computerized records.
  • Participating in the delivery of services within the technical support department.
  • Contributing to accreditation duties and meeting obligations as required.
  • Assisting in research projects aimed at improving and expanding Group methodologies.

Key Skills & Qualifications:

  • Ability to conduct scientific/technical examinations following established procedures.
  • Experience with operating and maintaining relevant scientific instrumentation.
  • Proven administrative skills, including the maintenance of detailed and accurate records.
  • Well-developed oral and written communication skills, with a focus on conveying specialist knowledge and advice.
