A digital forensics role is available at ASIC, working with the Evidence Services team.

The Digital Forensic Analyst will perform a range of traditional digital forensics services including forensic preservation and analysis of computing devices, providing technical advice and training to stakeholders and providing analytical support on investigations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform forensic preservation and analysis of computing devices using advanced technology and data query tools
  • Provide technical advice and training to stakeholder teams on forensic procedures and evidence management practices
  • Provide analytical support on investigations and surveillance cases, analysing data and evaluating its relevance
  • Attend search warrants to perform forensic analysis and triage functions
  • Monitor developments in industry and analyse technology and market trends to ensure procedures meet evidentiary requirements
  • Liaise with key contact points in Evidence Services and stakeholder teams on forensic requirements and solutions
  • Mentor and guide Evidence Services team members involved in investigation procedures requiring forensic analysis
  • Manage third-party forensic service providers, including the procurement of services

About You

  • You should have a Bachelor's degree in information technology, computer science or similar
  • Demonstrated work experience in a legal/consulting practice, forensic service provider or law enforcement agency
  • Excellent analytical skills, attention to detail and ability to engage and influence internal and external stakeholders
  • Knowledge and demonstrated digital forensics experience in computer/mobile hardware and business computing; file systems and operating systems (desktop, server, mobile)
  • Experience utilising digital forensics & eDiscovery tools including Nuix, X-Ways, Magnet Axiom, Cellebrite, XRY/XAMN, Forensic Explorer
