Advanced Digital Forensics Specialist

A digital forensics role is available at ASIC, working with the Evidence Services team.
The Digital Forensic Analyst will perform a range of traditional digital forensics services including forensic preservation and analysis of computing devices, providing technical advice and training to stakeholders and providing analytical support on investigations.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform forensic preservation and analysis of computing devices using advanced technology and data query tools
- Provide technical advice and training to stakeholder teams on forensic procedures and evidence management practices
- Provide analytical support on investigations and surveillance cases, analysing data and evaluating its relevance
- Attend search warrants to perform forensic analysis and triage functions
- Monitor developments in industry and analyse technology and market trends to ensure procedures meet evidentiary requirements
- Liaise with key contact points in Evidence Services and stakeholder teams on forensic requirements and solutions
- Mentor and guide Evidence Services team members involved in investigation procedures requiring forensic analysis
- Manage third-party forensic service providers, including the procurement of services
About You
- You should have a Bachelor's degree in information technology, computer science or similar
- Demonstrated work experience in a legal/consulting practice, forensic service provider or law enforcement agency
- Excellent analytical skills, attention to detail and ability to engage and influence internal and external stakeholders
- Knowledge and demonstrated digital forensics experience in computer/mobile hardware and business computing; file systems and operating systems (desktop, server, mobile)
- Experience utilising digital forensics & eDiscovery tools including Nuix, X-Ways, Magnet Axiom, Cellebrite, XRY/XAMN, Forensic Explorer
