Senior Tax Professional

We are seeking a seasoned Senior Tax Professional to take on key responsibilities within our finance team in Perth, Australia. As a crucial member of the finance team, you will be responsible for managing the Australian Tax function and all related compliance.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Tax Compliance: Review and sign off on corporate income tax computations and returns, manage ATO enquiries and audits, and ensure compliance with GST and other taxes.
  • Tax Risk Management: Develop and implement local tax policies and governance frameworks, execute internal tax control testing, and manage the Australian tax risk register.
  • Tax Planning and Business Support: Identify and lead on planning opportunities, provide business support on tax implications of contract tendering and renewals, M&A, capex, business reorganisations, employee compensation etc.
  • Tax Reporting: Review and sign off on reporting to the Group of budget, forecast, and year-end corporate tax submissions (and monthly cash tax reporting to the Group), review and sign off on tax disclosures in local statutory accounts, and calculating and reporting local operating taxes.
Requirements:
  • CA, CPA, or CTA qualified
  • 10+ years of tax experience, professional and/or corporate
  • Strong communication skills
  • Excellent time management skills
  • Proactive, hardworking attitude and a high level of accountability
  • Strong teamwork and an emphasis on striving for continuous improvement
