Marigold was born through a merger of industry-leading marketing platforms Cheetah Digital, Sailthru, Selligent, Liveclicker, Emma, and Campaign Monitor, and powers billions of customer interactions annually.The RoleThe CM Group's tax team located in Sydney Australia manages the Group'sglobal tax compliance and tax reporting obligations in relation to the multiple jurisdictions in which we currently operate.As part of the tax team, this role will be working closely with the Global Head of Tax, other members of the tax team and the broader finance team to manage the Group's Global sales tax and indirect tax obligations, product classifications and system documentation, with a key focus on UK and European direct tax compliance.What You'll Do:Preparation of quarterly global tax effect accounting, including balance sheet reconciliations, and reporting (all jurisdictions)Principle point of contact for tax matters in relation to group and local statutory auditsTax advisory/tax technical lead covering jurisdictions outlined below, including M&A transcationsGroup cash tax forecastingGlobal WHT reporting and process managementManage tax authority auditsSupport global transfer pricing and transparency compliance, including supporting global debt management, thin cap management and preparation of TP DocsEnsure appropriate controls and processes exist to facilitate the successful completion and timely lodgement of the Group's global tax compliance obligationsProactive focus on process improvement, automation, technology adoption to increase efficiency and accuracy of tax workstreamsSupport, if necessary, on VAT/GST/Sales Tax filings and projects and processes on an ad hoc basisYou will be responsible for the following countries: UK, France, Spain, Italy, Germany, Belgium, Uruguay & Costa RicaAbout You:Oversight of income tax compliance obligations as and where required (outsourced)Ideal Qualifications:8+ years of tax experience with Big 4 and/or in-house tax role and at least 2 years experience as a managerExperience in Australian taxes is essential for this position, including exposure to GST, R&D, CGT, FBT, Division 7A, TOFA, CFC, Transfer Pricing, Corporate Governance, Tax Losses, WHTSolid tax effect accounting and transfer pricing experience.AU, NZ, Europe, Aspac tax experience is highly desirable.CA/CPA QualificationsExperience of Netsuite preferredExposure to tax authorities in multiple jurisdictionsComfortable with technology adoption, includingusing different technology services and systems to manage indirect and sales tax compliance obligations, extensive excel skillsStrong communication, commercial judgement, and problem-solving skillsHighly organised with the ability to work under reasonable pressure and within set deadlinesSelf motivated with a desire to learn and ability to roll up your sleeves and get involvedExcellent technical and analytical skillsWhat We Offer:Unlimited PTO (we call it Open Time Away) and Birthday leaveRemote first position or work from our Melbourne or Sydney office space if you preferSalary Continuance & Life InsuranceSuperannuationAbout UsMarigold is a leading cross-channel marketing platform, with solutions for email, SMS, loyalty, and personalization, helping brands transform their relationships with customers.As the trusted partner behind the world's most recognized brands, including Air New Zealand, Chipotle, Hiscox, KFC, Kraft Heinz, The Atlantic, and more--Marigold delivers relevant brand experiences that cut through the noise and drive real impact.Marigold was born through a merger of industry-leading marketing platforms Cheetah Digital, Sailthru, Selligent, Liveclicker, Emma, and Campaign Monitor, and powers billions of customer interactions annually.Marigold will never ask you to participate in text based or WhatsApp based interviews.
