Occupational Therapist Role

This is a dynamic and rewarding opportunity to work with older adults who are motivated to remain living safely and independently in their own homes.

The Occupational Therapist will conduct comprehensive assessments and provide tailored recommendations to help clients reach their goals. This may include education, strategy development, assistive technology prescription, and home modification recommendations.

You'll be part of a supportive team, including Grade 3, 2, and 1 Occupational Therapists and Allied Health Assistants.

The role offers regular supervision via a structured support system, and encouragement to pursue ongoing professional development aligned with your career goals.

Essential Skills and Qualifications
  • A recognised degree in Occupational Therapy and registration with AHPRA.
  • A valid and current unrestricted driver's license.
  • Demonstrated understanding and experience of aged care issues, the aged care service system, and empathy with older adults is essential.
  • The ability to work autonomously, make decisions, organise own workload and monitor own performance to achieve predetermined targets.
  • A compassionate, flexible and positive approach to effective patient care and management.
  • The ability to nurture friendly, respectful relationships and contribute to a collaborative team environment.
