The Opportunity

We seek a dynamic and future-focused Senior Consultant to join our National Planning Business Unit in Sydney.

This role will sit within a specialized team expanding its capacity in renewable energy and sustainable planning.

You'll provide innovative advice and insights to our clients, leveraging your technical expertise and proven skills in environmental planning and the energy sector.

Key Responsibilities

  • Advise on renewable energy development, including due diligence, planning approval processes, and preparation of planning applications and post-approval activities.
  • Prepare sustainability strategies and advice for clients across various sectors, including infill, new communities, and industrial development.
  • Develop client relationships by building trust, providing quality advice, and managing expectations.
  • Write submissions, proposals, and advice that accurately reflect the client's needs.
  • Manage small to medium-sized projects, scoping, costing, tracking job costs, coordinating consultants and sub-consultants when necessary.

About You

  • Hold a tertiary qualification in Town Planning, Environmental Science, or a related discipline.
  • Have at least 5 years of experience in the Town Planning industry, preferably in renewable energy and sustainability.
  • Demonstrate an appreciation and understanding of sustainability and resilience principles in project delivery and place-making.
  • Be proficient in written and verbal communications, with a strong ability to engage with various stakeholders.
