Climate Change Professional

This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated early-career professional to contribute to the development of decarbonisation strategies, roadmaps, and action plans for clients across government, corporate, and infrastructure sectors.

Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the development of decarbonisation roadmaps, plans, and strategies for clients.
  • Support emissions assessments, help identify reduction opportunities, and contribute to research on energy-efficient technologies and sustainable practices.
  • Help interpret climate-related policies, standards, and net zero frameworks to inform client strategies.
  • Contribute to the delivery of advisory projects by supporting project coordination, documentation, and reporting.
  • Work alongside senior consultants and subject matter experts, learning from their experience and contributing to a collaborative team culture.
  • Participate in client meetings and workshops, helping to capture insights and contribute to solution development.

Requirements:

  • Tertiary qualifications in a relevant discipline.
  • At least 2 years' experience in sustainability, climate change, infrastructure, or environmental consulting (including internships or graduate roles).
  • Familiarity with emissions reduction strategies, carbon accounting, or climate risk assessment is a plus.
  • Understanding of Australia's climate policy landscape and net zero goals is desirable.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to contribute to reports and presentations.
