Job Title: Compiler Developer

About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced compiler developer to enhance our team's capabilities. The ideal candidate will have a solid foundation in programming languages, software development methodologies, and performance optimization.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and maintain high-performance compilers and transpilers.
  • Analyze and extend complex codebases to ensure accurate translation of legacy functionality.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration with existing systems.
  • Optimize code generation and translation with awareness of hardware-software co-design.
  • Troubleshoot, debug, and proactively improve compiler performance and correctness.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in compiler development or software engineering.
  • Strong knowledge of programming language structures, algorithm design, and data structures.
  • Strong grasp of software engineering principles, including modularity, reusability, and scalability.
  • Able to implement efficient algorithms for static analysis, type inference, and code optimization.
  • Proficiency in at least one low-level programming language.
  • Ability to understand and work with legacy enterprise systems.
  • Strong coding skills with a focus on clean, efficient, and maintainable code.
  • Effective communicator and team collaborator.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Advanced degree in Computer Science with a focus on compilers or software engineering.
  • Experience with OCaml, TypeScript, or other statically typed languages with type inference.
  • Understanding of software development methodologies is valuable in compiler or transpiler work.

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, IS, or related technical discipline.
  • Advanced degree, such as Master's in Computer Science, preferred.
