Job Title: Policymaker and Advocate Lead

This role requires a highly skilled individual to deliver the organization's strategic plan. The successful candidate will support the team by providing advice on policy priorities and monitor parliamentary proceedings to stay informed of emerging issues.

The key responsibilities include:

  • SUPPORT THE TEAM BY PROVIDING ADVICE ON POLICY PRIORITIES.
  • MONITOR RELEVANT PARLIAMENTARY PROCEEDINGS AND PROCESSES TO ENSURE THE ORGANIZATION IS AWARE OF EMERGING ISSUES.
  • CONTRIBUTE TO REPORTS, BRIEFING MATERIAL, AND SUBMISSIONS.
  • SUPPORT THE ORGANIZATION'S EXTERNAL ADVOCACY THROUGH CONTRIBUTIONS TO REPORTS, SPEECHES/TALKING POINTS, AND TIMELY ANALYSIS OF LEGISLATION, REGULATION, AND POLICY PROPOSALS.

To be successful in this role, the ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of the political system, processes, and actors. They should also have applied experience with superannuation processes, procedures, legal & compliance requirements, as well as superior relationship & organising skills.

The job requires the ability to work closely & proactively with stakeholders across various business levels, maintain integrity with confidential & sensitive market information, and work effectively in a fast-paced dynamic environment.

The successful candidate will demonstrate commercial judgement, acumen, and be able to positively influence, lead, and manage others. They should think strategically & sustainably, communicate with impact, and produce quality communications & reports.
