We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Dispatch Operations Manager to lead our dispatch team and ensure timely, accurate, and compliant dispatch.

Job Summary

The successful candidate will oversee and coordinate the daily activities of the dispatch team, supporting the Logistics Manager to meet customer demands and operational goals. Key responsibilities include:

  • Safety Culture Champion: Embedding a robust Safety culture throughout all daily activities, ensuring compliance and proactive risk management
  • Team Lead: Leading and motivating a team of dispatch operators to achieve high performance and meet daily KPIs
  • Logistics Coordinator: Overseeing and monitoring order movements to ensure efficient and timely dispatch of export shipments with accurate and compliant documentation
  • Freight Invoice Approver: Approving freight invoices promptly and managing freight consumables ordering
  • Department Liaison: Collaborating with other departments to address customer enquiries, freight quotes, and coordinate scheduling
  • Aussieflex Expert: Maintaining Aussieflex (in-house system) controls to enhance team efficiency, including managing backorders and undelivered stock
  • Procedural Improvement Specialist: Identifying logistics procedural gaps and implementing corrective actions to mitigate business risks and improve supply chain reliability
  • Talent Development Manager: Conducting regular staff performance reviews, providing constructive feedback, and managing talent development and training pathways
  • Recruitment and Rostering Specialist: Supporting recruitment, roster management, leave approvals, and timesheet verification for permanent and contingent workers
  • KPI Driver: Driving dispatch KPI's, focused on shipment accuracy, yield optimisation, and waste reduction
  • Quality Assurance Manager: Ensuring strict adherence to Quality, Environment, Health and Safety policies proactively reporting hazards and incidents, to maintain a safe workplace
  • Rostering and Rotation Planner: Planning team rostering and rotations based on training and operational requirements
  • Reporting and Communication Specialist: Completing dispatch reports and maintaining clear communication and records
  • Conflict Resolution Facilitator: Facilitating conflict resolution and providing technical guidance across departments
  • Operational Problem-Solver: Participating in operational problem-solving and support quality assurance
  • Process Improvement Manager: Ensuring dispatch systems comply with policy guidelines and are regularly updated
