About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Support Worker to join our team and provide assistance with challenging behaviors. You will help individuals with disabilities become more independent in their own homes and community.

Key Responsibilities
  • Active support: develop personal interests, provide personal care, transportation and coach independent living skills
  • Health support: administer and document medication and follow health support plans
  • Positive behaviour support: manage behavior triggers and escalation
  • Safeguarding: ensure safety of you and the participant, documentation and reports
Requirements
  • Demonstrated motivation to work with people with disability
  • Experience working as a support professional in a challenging environment
  • Knowledge and understanding of behaviour support plans
  • Manage and escalate challenging behaviours
  • Flexible with sleepover shifts
  • Certification in Disability or equivalent is preferred
  • Available to fulfill a rotating roster including weekends and overnights
  • NDIS Worker Check
  • National Police Check
  • Full Unrestricted Driver's license
  • First aid and CPR certificate
