Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough and credible real estate appraisals to support client appraisal needs, adhering to state law and Uniform Standards of Professional Appraisal Practice (USPAP).
  • Collect and analyze real estate sales information to support appraisal and asset valuation.
  • Complete appraisals of agricultural properties with minimal supervision, ensuring compliance with FCA regulations and USPAP.
  • Conduct external fee appraisals that meet USPAP requirements and state standards.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in agriculture or a business-related field.
  • Up to two years of professional certified appraisal experience, with expertise in land and building valuation using the three approaches to value.
  • Knowledge of the agricultural industry and the appraisal process as it pertains to agriculture.
  • Knowledge of Federal, State, and local laws affecting real estate values.
  • Annual completion of continuing education credits in appraisal subjects that carry recertification credit with a nationally recognized appraisal organization.
  • Membership in a nationally recognized professional appraiser's organization that is a member of the Appraisal Foundation.
  • Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
  • Ability to travel extensively throughout the region.
