Job Overview:

As a strategic procurement leader, you will play a pivotal role in driving corporate excellence and delivering dedicated end-to-end procurement services.

Key Responsibilities:

Band 7-8 Requirements:

  • Manage and lead a multi-disciplinary team delivering centralised procurement and contract management services through a business partner model.
  • Provide leadership and strategic direction to achieve organisational outcomes that are delivered in accordance with CFO Command strategic priorities, regulatory frameworks, and the AFP Code of Conduct.
  • Managing allocated resources, setting work priorities, developing strategies and evaluating business outcomes.
  • Identifying and driving performance improvement including by measuring organisational performance.
  • Developing team members and providing support and advice.
  • Providing HR and management support to team members and supervisors.
  • Building and sustaining relationships and liaising with a range of stakeholders including other teams, peers and colleagues internally and externally to the AFP.
  • Represent Central Procurement Services at various inter and intra agency meetings as required.

Requirements:

  • You must be an Australian Citizen.
  • A Negative Vetting 1 (Secret) security clearance or the ability to obtain one.
  • Demonstrated expertise, experience and contemporary knowledge relevant to the role.
  • Relevant qualifications or extensive experience and knowledge in area of expertise.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead a team.

This is a AFP Band Level 7-8 position. We offer flexible work arrangements however it is expected that the successful applicant/s will work from the office at least 2-3 days per week for team connectivity and collaboration.
