Overview
The National Indigenous Australians Agency is seeking an experienced and skilled individual to join our team as an Engagement Assistant Director in the South Queensland Region. As a key member of our team, you will play a pivotal role in supporting our agency's mission to work in genuine partnership with First Nations communities.
About the Role
This is an Identified position which signifies that the role has strong involvement in matters relating to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples. You will be responsible for overseeing program delivery, fostering partnerships and supporting place-based program and policy implementation to ensure that community needs and aspirations are met through effective and culturally responsive service delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee and guide day-to-day operational activities of the Toowoomba based team to deliver high quality services and policy implementation.
- Ensure that performance measures for the team are met.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including First Nations people and communities.
- Provide expert guidance and constructive feedback to team members, peers and more broadly across the agency.
- Cultivate a team with a supportive culture, encouraging innovation and an environment where staff are valued and committed to producing quality outcomes.
Requirements
To be eligible for this position, you must be an Australian Citizen. The successful candidate will be required to undergo pre-employment screening checks, including an Australian Criminal History Check.
Salary
The salary for this position is Executive Level 1 ($121,717 - $138,722) plus superannuation.
