Water and Sewer System Manager

This role involves contributing to the operation of a community's water and sewer system. Work in a dynamic and customer-focused team, with a casual position that requires 24/7 shift work rosters.
Responsibilities include monitoring system availability, configuration, and performance in real-time. Proactively control systems operations to minimize the impact of system failures. Additionally, prioritize and triage work orders for the dispatch of work crews and provide technical expertise and advice to field staff as required.
Shifts involve 12-hour day and night shifts to cover a 24/7 roster, Monday to Sunday. This position is required to provide quality customer service and create value for the community.
Key Responsibilities:- Monitor system availability, configuration, and performance in real-time.
- Proactively control systems operations to minimize the impact of system failures.
- Prioritize and triage work orders for the dispatch of work crews.
- Provide technical expertise and advice to field staff as required.
- Certificate IV qualification in Engineering or related field OR demonstrated solid contemporary experience in water and/or sewage network management within water and sewer disciplines or experience in a similar role.
- Current Class C Drivers Licence.
- Experience and understanding of operational management of a distrusted network of assets.
- Experience and understanding of water, wastewater, and networks.
- Ability to effectively utilize information technology, including computerized control & monitoring systems (e.g. SCADA) and geographical information systems.
- Long service leave after 5 years of continuous service.
