Job Title: Sustainability Lead

We are seeking an experienced professional to lead our organization's sustainability efforts and develop strategies that ensure our operations align with environmental, social, and governance (ESG) principles.

Description:

This role will be responsible for leading the development and implementation of ESG strategies, sustainability frameworks, and governance practices. You will influence organisational direction and embed sustainability into everyday practices while managing a dedicated team of three.

  • Develop and deliver ESG strategies that strengthen sustainability outcomes and meet evolving reporting requirements.
  • Provide advice to executives and the Board on climate risk, sustainability opportunities, and compliance obligations.
  • Manage the upkeep and improvement of the environmental management system, working collaboratively to ensure it meets organisational needs; lead a team of three and coordinate across business areas to deliver sustainability initiatives.
  • Engage with industry, regulators, and consultants to ensure we remain aligned with best practice.
  • Support capability building across the organisation to increase awareness and application of sustainability principles.
Responsibilities:
  • Lead the development and implementation of sustainability frameworks, climate risk integration, and compliance with climate disclosure reporting requirements.
  • Provide expert advice to executives and the Board, manage cross-functional projects, and lead a small team to drive sustainable business practices.
  • Oversee the maintenance and continuous improvement of the environmental management system.
Key Skills and Qualifications:

You'll bring extensive knowledge of sustainability and ESG practices, strong strategic and analytical skills, experience managing environmental systems, and a track record of influencing at senior levels.

  • Degree-level qualifications in environmental science, sustainability, commerce, economics, or a related field (or equivalent relevant experience).
  • Class C driver's licence.
