About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Horticulture Apprentice to join our team in Shellharbour City. As a Horticulture Apprentice, you will support our Open Spaces team and gain practical skills in parks and reserve maintenance.

Based at our Oak Flats Services Depot, you will have the opportunity to rotate through various areas including open spaces, parks, gardens, turf/sportsfield maintenance, greenkeeping, nursery, tree maintenance, and bush regeneration.

You will complete a Certificate III in Horticulture Course at YallahTAFE to gain and develop practical knowledge and skills associated with presentation of our city.

This is an excellent opportunity for school leavers, mature age applicants, second year apprentices, or those who have already commenced their Certificate III in Horticulture.

About the Opportunity

The role is temporary full-time up to 4 years or for the duration of the apprenticeship, working 38 hours per week with access to a 9 Day-fortnight roster.

The salary range is from $601.70 per week for a 16-year-old to $827.40 per week for someone aged 18 and over.

To be eligible for this role, you must:

  • Complete a Pre-placement Medical examination
