About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Aboriginal professional to join our team in supporting children aged 10-17 who have engaged in harmful sexual behavior.

You will work directly with these young people and their families, providing therapeutic interventions and culturally responsive support that enhances safety, restores relationships, and promotes healing and wellbeing.

Our early intervention approach focuses on holistic outcomes, including ceasing harmful behaviours, strengthening cultural identity, and fostering community connections.

About Our Team

We are a close-knit team committed to creating a space where cultural knowledge is respected, shared, and central to our practice.

Your Key Responsibilities Will Include

  • Delivering assessment, counselling, and case coordination in partnership with another clinician.
  • Providing cultural advice and consultation to ensure our service embeds Aboriginal ways of working and cultural safety.
  • Engaging with Aboriginal communities and services to support strong, culturally appropriate care.
  • Contributing to service development initiatives that improve cultural responsiveness.
Requirements
  • A Bachelor's degree or higher in Social Work with eligibility for membership to the Australian Association of Social Workers (AASW), or a Bachelor degree or higher in Psychology with current full registration with the Psychology Board of Australia, or a Bachelor degree or higher in Counselling with registration with the appropriate professional body.
About You

This role requires an Aboriginal professional who brings cultural insight, empathy, and therapeutic skill to their work.

You must understand the importance of early intervention, cultural connection, and family involvement in helping children and young people thrive.

If you're ready to be part of a compassionate, committed team that values Aboriginal worldviews and collective impact, we'd love to hear from you.
