As an HSE Advisor, you'll play a crucial role in supporting our residential developments. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Assisting in the development and implementation of HSE initiatives and programs consistent with our Workplace Risk Management Plan and legislative requirements.
  • Supporting and participating as a member of our Workplace HSE team.
  • Assisting in the development and distribution of monthly HSE reports, presentations, and HSE topics that inform management and employees about workplace injury statistics, new initiatives, and system changes.
  • Actively participating in formal and informal communication to increase understanding and awareness of HSE issues.
  • Staying up-to-date with legislative changes and best practice methods and advising management on these changes.
  • Providing accurate and timely advice to managers on prevailing HSE issues.
  • Directing communications between injured employees, their management, and medical providers to ensure all parties are aware of their rights, responsibilities, and return-to-work plans.
  • Assisting in the preparation of monthly HSE reports and completion of monthly HSE scheduled activities.
  • Conducting regular HSE inspections and service provider implementation reviews across your designated project.
  • Leading or facilitating incident investigations with site management to ensure root causes and corrective actions are identified.

To succeed in this role, you'll need:

  • Formal training in OH&S or associated fields with 3-5 years' experience in overseeing and promoting HSE requirements, including a broad knowledge and experience in risk assessment, auditing, and review processes, and a solid understanding of regional legislative requirements.
  • A team player with good communication skills, effective time management, and the ability to manage conflict and change.
