Mirvac is seeking a skilled HSE Advisor to assist in the implementation and maintenance of our HSE Management System and Workplace Risk Management Plan.
As a key member of our HSE team, you will be responsible for assisting the Workplace Manager in day-to-day implementation and maintenance of our HSE Management System and Workplace Risk Management Plan. You will also be responsible for providing HSE support, advice, training, and reporting functions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement HSE initiatives and programs consistent with the Workplace Risk Management Plan and Legislative requirements.
- Support and participate as a member of the Workplace HSE team.
- Develop and distribute monthly HSE reports, presentations, and HSE topics that Management and employees with Workplace injury statistics, new initiatives, and system changes.
- Participate in formal and informal communication to increase understanding and awareness of HSE issues.
- Stay up-to-date with legislative changes and best practice methods and advise on management of these changes.
- Provide accurate and timely advice to Managers on any prevailing HSE issues.
- Direct communications between injured employees, their management, and medical providers to ensure that all parties are aware of their rights, responsibilities, and return to work plans.
- Assist in the preparation of monthly HSE report and completion of monthly HSE scheduled activities.
- Conduct regular HSE inspections and Service Provider Implementation reviews across your designated project.
- Lead or facilitate incident investigations with site management to ensure the root causes and corrective actions are identified.
Requirements:
- Formal training in OH&S or associated fields with 3-5 years' experience in overseeing and promoting HSE requirements, including a broad knowledge and experience in risk assessment, auditing, and review processes, and a solid understanding of Regional Legislative requirements.
- A team player with good communication skills, effective time management, and the capability to manage conflict and change.
