Job Summary

As a Weighbridge Operator, you will be responsible for ensuring the accurate weighing of all cane entering the weighbridge and data entry from corresponding consignment information.

This role requires effective communication with various teams, including yard locomotives and the juice laboratory, as well as maintaining records and performing general cleaning tasks.

You will work in a dynamic environment with a laid-back lifestyle, surrounded by stunning island beaches and exciting outdoor adventures.

The successful candidate will possess excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, and be able to work alongside a range of different people. Basic mechanical skills are highly regarded, and trade qualifications are preferred but not essential.

Your Key Responsibilities:

  • Enter cane consignment data and maintain records of scheduled weighbridge test weights while ensuring confidentiality of all cane-related information.
  • Maintain excellent housekeeping practices around the weighbridge.
  • Communicate effectively with Cane Supply & Transport and Laboratory teams.
  • Provide regular and accurate feedback to Mill management on station performance and quality issues.
