Our client is seeking a fully qualified Automotive Technician to join their family-owned dealership group in the Whitsundays region.

Duties of the role :

  • Diagnostics and repair of vehicles to manufacturers' standards
  • Provide advice regarding the mechanical condition of vehicles
  • Report all necessary work, services, or repairs to the service manager and record using in-house databases or reporting systems
  • Provide guidance and training to apprentices
  • Relay information about vehicles to guests in a professional manner
  • Road test vehicles and conduct final assessments prior to delivery or return of vehicle to guest
  • Comply with OH&S policies

Essential skills and requirements :

  • Qualifications as an Automotive Technician (Cert III in Light Vehicle Mechanical)
  • Experience with all vehicle brands considered
  • Minimum 3 years' experience post trade qualification
  • Manual driver's license
  • Strong communication skills
  • Customer service focused
  • High attention to detail
  • Full Australian working rights
