Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Engineering Manager to lead our project delivery team at Buildability Group, a leading award-winning builder in the Sydney market.

About the Role
  • Lead engineering activities and manage project timelines, budgets, and resources.
  • Oversee all technical functions for projects, ensuring compliance with design specifications, quality standards, and timelines.
  • Collaborate closely with project managers, subcontractors, suppliers, and clients to ensure smooth project execution and resolve any technical issues.
Responsibilities
  1. Project Leadership: Develop, monitor, and adjust project plans to meet deadlines and optimize resources.
  2. Quality Assurance: Implement and enforce quality control measures across all project phases to ensure top-tier outcomes.
  3. Safety Compliance: Ensure all work is conducted in line with safety regulations and company policies, conducting regular site inspections.
  4. Mentorship: Lead and mentor junior engineers and support staff, fostering a collaborative and skilled project team.
  5. Documentation & Reporting: Prepare and review technical documentation, reports, and engineering plans to keep stakeholders informed.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in a similar role within the construction industry, ideally on large-scale or complex projects.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple engineering tasks while maintaining high attention to detail.
  • Strong knowledge of construction processes, codes, standards, and best practices.
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and leadership skills.
  • Proficiency in project management software and tools.
