This position offers a unique opportunity to make a difference in the community by providing oral health education and support.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver evidence-based oral health education to clients, empowering them to improve their oral and general health and wellbeing.

  • Work collaboratively with the dental team to ensure up-to-date knowledge and skills are maintained.

  • Contribute to the operation of outreach services, aligning with a preventative care model and commitment to improving oral health outcomes.

  • Maintain accurate records of client interactions and treatment plans.

Requirements:

  • Certificate III in Dental Assisting

  • Certificate IV in Dental Assisting Oral Health Education

  • Experience working with culturally diverse backgrounds

  • Demonstrated ability to perform at a high standard

  • Knowledge of infection control in dental settings

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

  • Strong time management and organisational skills

  • Commitment to public dental health principles

  • Able to identify, assess and interpret sources of oral health information
