
Patient Care Specialist

This is a dynamic role that involves delivering high-quality patient care while working across multiple clinics.
You will collaborate closely with healthcare professionals to ensure exceptional patient care and efficient operations, playing a crucial part in the central region CT team's success.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform cannulations and provide patient care while adhering to policies and protocols.
- Analyse request forms and assist staff to ensure appropriate examinations are performed to obtain optimal information.
- Consult colleagues and radiologists as needed.
- Support CT radiographers, nursing, and clinical staff by preparing patients for imaging examinations, including manual handling and positioning.
- Assess bookings and workflows proactively to maximise efficiency and remain flexible to accommodate urgent cases and walk-in patients.
- Contribute to a highly skilled, multidisciplinary team to deliver outstanding patient-centred care.
To succeed in this role, you should have:
- Proven ability in cannulation or relevant experience in venepuncture.
- Experience managing scheduled appointments and ensuring seamless workflow.
- Strong verbal communication skills.
- Problem-solving and decision-making capabilities.
- Familiarity with radiology imaging systems is a plus, but not essential.
- Valid CPR certification or willingness to obtain it.
- Ability to interact professionally with patients, team members, and other stakeholders.
- Flexibility, resilience, and adaptability to change.
